STARS Lottery Launch a huge success
Thanks to over 100 people who attended the STARS Lottery Home Grand Opening on January 12, 2012. A special thank you to Marg Kenny for sharing her tragic accident and unbelievable rescue. The lottery was launched by elected officials, media, trades, suppliers, STARS representatives and Concept staff. The event took place at the new home located at 155 Campbell Drive in Lakeland in Sherwood Park.

Concept® Homes won Third Place on November 18, 2011 for their STARS Lottery Home Christmas Tree. The Strathcona County Festival of Trees is in support of the Information and Volunteer Centre. The event took place from November 18 -20, 2011 at the Strathcona County Community Centre (the Agora)at 2001 Sherwood Drive in Sherwood Park.

Legacy Pointe Military Family Reception
On Wednesday, October 12, 2011 Concept® Homes hosted the Legacy Pointe Military Family Reception from 3 to 8 pm. Attendees enjoyed complimentary food, drinks, prizes and family fun. Kids especially enjoyed the balloon animals from the balloon Fairy. For every family that attended the event Concept Homes donated $10 to the Edmonton Military Family Resource Centre.

Legacy Pointe Grand Opening a huge success
Over 500 people attended the Legacy Pointe Grand Opening event on Saturday, September 24, 2011. Families and friends celebrated, ate cake and hot dogs, raced in the 40' obstacle course, won prizes at the soccer challenge and toured the new showhomes. Legacy Pointe features a no-maintenance, carefree lifestyle close to amenities. There are 14 floorplans to choose from. The showhomes are open noon to 5 pm on weekends and 3- 8 pm Monday to Thursday. Concept® Homes gives $23,000 cheque to Make-A-Wish
On behalf of the 34 sponsors, 151 golfers and 37 volunteers at the Concept® Homes golf tournament, Concept® Homes presented a cheque for $23,000 for the kids at Make-A-Wish Foundation on September 24, 2011. On September 8, 2011, fun was had by all at the Sturgeon Valley Golf Course. The event included a Texas Scramble golf game, a banquet, a silent auction and a live auction. Charity Golf Tournament raised $23,000 for Make-A-Wish
151 golfers and 37 volunteers met their goal of converged on Sturgeon Valley Golf Course on Thursday, September 8, 2011 to raise money for the kids at Make-A-Wish Foundation. Concept® Homes building 2012 STARS home
Concept® Homes is very proud to be selected as the STARS Air Ambulance lottery home builder for the fourth consecutive year. Concept® Homes began planning this home in the spring and dug the basement early summer. This incredible new home is located in Sherwood Park and will be opening in the second week of January 2012.

Mission Building doubles their donation
In July Mission Building announced their GOLD sponsporship of the Concept® Homes charity golf tournament. This year they will double their donation: instead of giving $10 for every birdie and $100 for every eagle to the charity, they will donate $20 for every birdie and $200 for every eagle!! All the donated money will be going directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Alberta.

On January 20 Concept® Homes was proud to open the 2010 STARS Air Ambulance Lottery Home. This spacious and stylish bungalow is located at 91 Lacombe Drive in Lacombe Park Estates in St. Albert. The Augusta's main floor is 1798 square feet, and features a master bedroom, ensuite, laundry room, half bath, den, great room, dining area, and kitchen with a large 5' x 10' granite island. Every year Concept® Homes wins an award at the Fort Saskatchewan Santa Clause and Canada Day Parades, and this year is no exception. Concept® Homes has been awarded Second Place for their float in the Fort Saskatchewan Santa Claus Parade on November 28, 2009. Congratulations to all the members of the Concept® Team that participated in this special community event.

Good Neighbour Fund Presentation

Concept® Homes presented over $20,000 to charity
On behalf of Concept® Homes' trades, suppliers, staff and customers, Concept® donated $20,750 to the CTV Good Neighbour Fund. This presentation took place at the Poor Boys Luncheon at the Fantasyland Hotel in Edmonton on Thursday, November 12, 2009. The money was raised by the participants and sponsors of the 4th annual Concept® Homes Charity Golf Classic that took place in September.

This year's golf charity event was a a huge success. On September 2, 2009 Concept® Homes trades, suppliers, customers and friends raised over $20,000 at the Concept® Homes Charity Golf Classic. This money was given to the CTV Good Neighbour Fund. Thanks to everyone who participated.

STARS Lottery Draw Team

STARS makes lottery draw on March 27
On Friday, March 27, 2009, STARS Air Ambulance drew the winner of the Edmonton lottery home. Lorraine Mansbridge of Global TV phoned a grandmother from Edmonton to tell her the good news. The television broadcast took place at the Concept® home in Castlebrook Meadows. There were over 3,000 prizes awarded, and there were over 100,000 people who purchased over 800,000 tickets. Thank you to all that participated in building and promoting this lottery home.

Concept® Homes celebrates Xmas the Aussie way
On November 29, 2008 Concept® staff built and rode on an Australian Christmas Float in the Fort Saskatchewan Santa Claus Parade. Dressed as Ralph Harris, Concept®'s Les Paull steered his sleigh pulled by kangaroos along the parade route. Other staff members entertained the crowd by singing, "Six white boomers, snow white boomers, Racing Santa Claus through the blazing sun". This float won second place for best float in the Fort Saskatchwan Santa Claus parade.

On November 6, 2008 STARS hosted the Concept® Homes' team in honour of their time and resources to build the 2009 STARS Lottery Home. Concept® houses six homeless families
On October 31, 2007, Concept® Homes in conjunction with the Umisk Affodable Housing Society will give six sets of keys to six large Aboriginal families. This long-term supportive housing complex, Nellie Nome Manor, are located at 118 Avenue and 59 Street in Edmonton. There are now 40 more adults and children that have an address to live at and a place to call home.

Affordable Housing


Concept® Homes houses 16 homeless families
The week of Monday, July 31, 2006, Concept® Homes in conjunction with the Umisk and Amisk Affodable Housing Societies gave keys to 16 under-privileged families. Concept®'s team of skilled trades, suppliers and staff built two homeless housing complexes. At 11711 - 101 Street and at 11715 - 101 Street in Edmonton, Alberta. 16 families now have an address to live and a place to call home.

On Saturday, July 1, 2006 Concept® Homes' comedy troupe participated in the Fort Saskatchewan Canada Day Parade for the sixth consecutive year. Their float and antics depicting a family in need of a 'new on sweet' drew huge laughs from the crowd.

Block Party

Concept® Homes hosts block party
On Thursday, June 22, 2006 Concept® Homes staff hosted a successful community block party. This party was put on for the residents of Castle Point, a cul-de-sac in Castlebrook Meadows. The residents enjoyed good food, fun activities, and meeting their new neighbours. Concept® staff organized hors d'eurves, beef on a bun, desserts, cold drinks, tents, music and lawn games. Fun was had by community members of all ages.

Concept® builds playhouses for charity
Concept® Homes staff volunteer to build playhouses for charity. Concept® Homes raffles a playhouse and gives all the proceeds to the Fort Saskatchewan Historical Society. They often used the playhouse as the centrepiece of their parade floats; see photos below.
